Smart Automation in Rice Palletizing

This project involved the development and integration of a fully automated robotic palletizing cell for 10 kg rice packs, aimed at optimising the end-of-line production process at Valente Marques | Caçarola.

The solution was designed by ESI Robotics to increase operational efficiency, ensure greater stacking consistency, and reduce the physical effort associated with manual operations.

Correct Product Handling and Positioning Automatic inspection and handling system

Products enter the cell automatically through the conveyor and pass through a dimensional inspection system capable of detecting units that fall outside the defined specifications.

 

 

After validation, the robot picks up the product and places it on the pallet according to the configured pattern, ensuring a continuous and efficient process.

The cell operates with two pallet positions, allowing greater operational continuity and simplifying the removal of full pallets by the operator.

 

 

With this solution, Caçarola - Valente Marques was able to increase productivity, reduce waste and optimise the end-of-line palletizing process, while also improving operator safety and ergonomics by reducing repetitive and physically demanding tasks.
